Happy Fourth of July!

It’s July and the Weinberg Three have taken to the road in “Big Blue” (that’s the name for our blue minivan). After about seven hours of driving and countless queries involving variations on “Are we there yet?”, we arrived in Williamsburg, VA, where we stayed with our dear friends, the Wawersiks. The Wawersiks threw quite a Fourth of July party, complete with steamed crabs and shrimp, and enough other food to feed a small army (or at least 16 plus children and all their parents). Thanks to Daddy, the Weinberg Boys and all their friends twirled numerous sparklers, much to their delight (Daddy never misses the opportunity to risk a trip to the emergency room). In between sparklers and the sporadic downpours that drenched Williamsburg that afternoon, the Weinberg Boys really enjoyed playing with their old friends. And Zola got to meet friends, including new babies Sophie and Liam, also born this past Winter 2008.

As always, our time in Williamsburg was too short. The boys really enjoyed splashing around the pool with our friends and picnicking with Hannah and Sam in Colonial Williamsburg just like old times. We rounded out our visit with a trip to the movies to see “WALL-E,” which was a big hit with our boys and Hannah (Hannah decided she was WALL-E for the rest of the weekend). It was really neat too to see little Sam walking around—he has grown so much in the past six months. Pictures of our time in Williamsburg are here.
